  • Posts must be relevant and useful for HarlemView’s audience.
    • We aim to report stories about our communities.
    • We want to look for under-reported stories that can make a difference.
    • We are also interested in stories on sports and culture
  • Stories must be grammatically correct and free of spelling errors.
  • They must be factually accurate.
  • Please link to sources and attribute all quotes.
  • An ideal post is 350 to 700 words.
  • A post must be original and written by the author.
  • We’d like to have a photo or artwork that is cleared for use without copyright infringement.
    • Send full resolution photos as separate jpgs (or pngs, but jpgs are better) – not as part of a word document and no thumbnails and no HEIF images.
    • Tell us who took the photo and confirm we have permission to use it.
    • Unsplash and Pixabay offer good free photos.
    • Size/dimensions. High number of kb (or mg are even better).
    • If possible, we need 2000 x 1200 px photos.
    • A second photo, if possible, that is 400 x 500.
  • We’d like an author photo that will be published with the post.
  • No post should include marketing links.
  • However, we can link to a book for sale that is relevant to the post’s content.
  • We reserve the right to reject the post.
