Audio Production Assistant Internship
Job Overview: The intern would perform research and audio production tasks under the supervision of the Associate Producer and Producer
Responsibilities and Duties: The intern would review the Himan Brown archives, including audio, text, and visual elements, pull selections, and create logs to support production work. The intern will also review external sources, such as online archives, for additional materials. The intern will help in reviewing archived audio productions slated for re-release.
Qualifications: Strong organizational skills, patience, and an interest in audio production. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-solving attitude and ability to work with a small team and independently where viable. Familiarity with Google Docs. Candidates must be full-time CUNY students.

City Limits is accepting applications from early-career Hispanic and Latino journalists
(current students or recent grads) for paid internship opportunities this fall, with support from
the Scripps Howard Fund.
Interns will produce stories and investigations for City Limits’ bilingual Spanish/English news
initiative, working closely with other editorial staff to report on how New York City and State
policies impact low-income Latino communities, with a focus on housing, homelessness and
affordability.
Fall interns have the option of applying for either a full time (40 hours per week) or part time
(20 hours per week) position, depending on their interest and availability. The fall internship
will run for 12 weeks from late September to December 2026.
Compensation is $17 per hour. While our office works remotely for the most part,
in-person attendance will be required as needed for reporting assignments and staff
meetings.
Requirements:
● Must be based in NYC
● Open to current college or graduate students, or recent grads (if you graduated
within the last year)
● You should be majoring in journalism, a related field, or have some other
journalism experience (if you’ve taken a number of journalism-related courses or
wrote for the school newspaper, for example)
● Spanish-language speakers preferred
